Professor Rob Constance
Rob Constance is a United States Marine Corps veteran and former New York City police officer. He began his formal training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with the Gracie family in the late 1990s. He has been awarded titles in both Grappler’s Quest and Naga, as well as winning Florida State’s Heavy Weight Division. Rob has participated in numerous Superfights, the New York City Golden Gloves, New York State Golden Gloves, and New York City Metros. As a result of extensive training and study with such prestigious names as Renzo, Ralph, Ryan, and Igor Gracie and John Danaher, Rob was presented with his black belt under Renzo Gracie. He now brings his advanced techniques and teaching styles to Renzo Gracie Academy Hoboken. An Abu-Dhabi trials veteran, he has been competing in mixed martial arts for over a decade.
After nine years on the police force, Rob continues to work as an educator, directing and teaching seminars in defensive tactical training at the New York City Police Academy. He also travels to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Academies nationwide to teach seminars, and has developed a self-defense seminar for women that incorporates the fundamentals of BJJ.
Professor Elijah Clarke
Elijah Clarke has been training Muay Thai for 10 years. He started off training under kru Brandon Levi (Evolution Muay Thai) and had his first fight after just 8 months of training. Elijah has won his first five consecutive fights including a knockout by head kick at the Friday Night Fights Events. Elijah holds a record of 15-4 as an amateur, and as of February 2016 4-1 as a Pro. In 2015, he was ranked 19th in the world under the WBC.
He is currently an instructor at Renzo Gracie Academy training alongside Joseph Sampieri, Jamie Crowder, Florina Petcu, Brent Bartley, Michael Mckee. Most notable opponents to date as a Pro fighter are Alex Berrios and Brett Hlavacek. Elijah has also been a sparring partner to UFC fighters such a Chris Weidman and Rafael Natal Sapo.
